The entire surface of the coin appears to have been silver-enriched. Our knowledge of the later Axumite kingdom is fragmentary; we know little about the absolute chronology of the period, and even the names of the kings are subject to debate. We know king AGD (or ADG) only from his coins- the name is sometimes read as Adegu.
