Notes:     Plautius Silvanus, consul in the year 2 A.D., was amicus principis and thus belonged to the inner circle of Augustus. Whether the legend on the obverse means the emperor, remains a question, likewise the exact interpretation of the scene. That the reverse legend, which stands for city Pergamon, in the Nominative suggests that Pergamum gave an honor to the Proconsul. Eastern denominations are not fully understood, but this brass coin may have been equal to the Western as.
